MANUAL CLAMPS
Introduction
The Five Main Action Groups

Vertical Hold-Down Action Clamps:
The vertical clamps are identified bye their vertical handles. These clamps are manufactured with a range of holding capacities of up to 6,000 lbs. The hold-down bar (also called clamping bar) exhibits a minimum 90° opening angle and can be solid or “U” shaped. The base is straight (“B” version) or flange-mounted (standard version).
Horizontal Hold-Down Action Clamps:
The outstanding characteristic is the low height design. Unlike the handle and the hold down bar of the vertical clamps, those of the horizontal clamps move in opposite directions. These clamps are manufactured with solid or “U” shaped hold-down bars and with various mounting options. The holding capacities range up to 1,000 lbs.
Straight-Line Action Clamps:
These clamps are manufactured in a variety of models to accommodate a wide range of load ratings (100 lbs. - 16,000 lbs.). The push/pull handle is easy to operate and moves the plunger of the clamp in and out along its axis. Almost all of these clamps can be locked in two positions, allowing you to use them as either push or pull clamps. Several base mounting options are available. Some models have threaded bodies for thru-hole mounting.
Latch Action Clamps:
The handle can be moved to place the clamping pull bar (hook) around the opposing latch and pressed down to reach the locked position. Holding capacities range up to 7,500 lbs., and threaded “hook” or “U-bolt” type bars offer an adjustment feature.
Squeeze Action Clamps:
The jaws are locked automatically when closing, as one or both handles are squeezed against the central position. The jaws are drop-forged in steel or aluminum; and most are supplied with 1 or 2 adjustable spindles.
