These units are used in place of mechanical or stationary rest buttons to support a workpiece under heavy machine loads. They are lightly spring loaded so that the plunger automatically seeks the exact work support level by coming in contact with the bottom of the workpiece. When the valve is actuated, a collet locks the plunger into that exact position and will withstand a downward force of 2,000 lbs. This is particularly important with thin section work where the tooling forces can cause distortion.

For easy installation, Model 70520 has a 1 1/4-16 UN threaded body and two 1/4-20 mounting holes on the bottom
